Bargaining Council Levies |
The Bargaining Council is an autonomous entity completely separate and distinct from MIBFA or any other Fund Administrators.
There is a collective agreement between the Bargaining Councils and employers. This agreement details the agreed rate at which various levies are paid on an annual basis. |
As a registered bargaining council in accordance with the Labour Relations Act, the Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council s ( MEIBC ) activities on behalf of the Industry are funded by a nominal administration levy payable by industry employers and employees. MIBFA collects the administration levy from registered employers and their employees on behalf of the MEIBC. The funds from the levy contributions are then forwarded to the MEIBC, enabling the MEIBC to offer its services for the benefit of the industry. |
The total amount of MEIBC levies is to be deposited directly into the account of Metal Industries Benefit Funds Administrators Central Collection Office the same day as submitting the contribution returns via the Internet or EDI: |
